- VOTED KNOXVILLE'S BEST IN BOOKKEEPING -

Stop waiting until tax time to know your numbers.

Monthly bookkeeping for solopreneurs, single-member LLCs, rental owners, and contractors who are ready to scale — and ready to see their business clearly enough to do it.

EA-led. Premium positioned. Built for business owners who want to do better, for real.

- WHO THIS IS FOR -

We work with business owners ready to grow.

Not everyone is our right client. The people who get the most from HB bookkeeping share something in common: they're done waiting for tax time to see their business clearly.

-Solopreneurs

Single-member LLCs and sole proprietors

Service businesses, consultants, online creators, coaches. You're running the whole show, and you need someone watching the numbers so you can stay in your zone of genius.

-Real Estate

Rental owners and Airbnb hosts

One property or several. Multi-entity setups, depreciation tracking, separating personal from business. The kind of clean books that make tax season simple and lender conversations easy.

-Trades & Services

Contractors, freelancers, specialty service businesses

Project-based revenue, expense complexity, equipment depreciation, 1099 tracking. Real bookkeeping that handles the messiness of how trade and service businesses actually work.

Right now we serve single-member businesses without W-2 payroll. Multi-employee operations and payroll services are on our roadmap.

- THE SHIFT -

From tax-time scramble to monthly clarity.

Most business owners don't have a bookkeeping problem. They have a clarity problem. Numbers exist somewhere — in receipts, in their bank app, in their head — but never in a way they can actually use to make decisions.

Where most owners are

You know roughly what you brought in. You're not sure where it all went. You scramble each March to gather a year of receipts. You make business decisions based on what's in your bank account, not on what your actual numbers say.

You can't quite tell whether the new project is profitable. You don't know which expenses are eating your margin. You're "doing okay" but flying blind on the path to "doing well."

And there's a quiet voice that says: I should know this. I should have a real handle on my own business.

Where you could be

Monthly numbers, organized and reconciled. A clear picture of revenue, expenses, and profit by category — not at tax time, but every month, as the business is actually running.

You know which services are profitable and which aren't. You see expenses trending up before they become a problem. You make pricing decisions, hiring decisions, expansion decisions from data — not from gut feel and bank-balance anxiety.

And when tax season arrives, your books are already done. That alone changes everything.

"You can't scale what you can't see.

That's where real bookkeeping comes in."

- WHATS INCLUDED -

The work behind real books.

Every HB bookkeeping engagement includes these foundations. Tier determines volume, frequency, and depth — but the work itself is the same standard of care across the board.

Monthly transaction categorization

Every transaction reviewed, categorized, and recorded against the right chart of accounts. No "miscellaneous" piles, no unexplained line items.

Monthly transaction categorization

Monthly reconciliation of all business accounts. We catch errors, duplicates, missed transactions, and discrepancies before they compound.

Profit & Loss and Balance Sheet

Real financial statements every month, not just at year-end. You see how your business is performing as it happens, not 14 months later.

Monthly financial summary

A written summary of how the month looked. What's trending, what to watch, what to celebrate. Numbers translated into business language.

Secure communication & document portal

Send receipts, ask questions, share documents — all through our secure portal. No more email chains, no more lost paperwork.

Year-end tax preparation hand-off

Your books arrive at tax season clean, complete, and ready. If we handle your taxes too, the transition is seamless. If you use another preparer, we'll deliver them everything they need.

Enterprise bookkeeping.

For businesses over 600 transactions monthly, complex multi-entity structures, inventory operations, or specialty industries. Quoted custom after a thorough discovery and audit, typically $1,200-$2,500/month. Schedule a Bookkeeping Audit to discuss.

- THE PROCESS-

How we start working together.

No surprise pricing, no awkward sales calls. A clear four-step process from "I'm interested" to "my books are running like they should."

- Step 01 -

The Audit

You schedule a Bookkeeping Audit. We review your current books, transaction volume, software, and what's working (or not). $150 fee, credited toward your first month.

- Step 02 -

The Quote

Within 48 hours of your audit, you receive a written quote — recommended tier, any cleanup work needed, add-ons that apply, and the path forward. No pressure, take your time.

- Step 03 -

The Onboarding

If we're moving forward, we onboard you into our system. Engagement letter, portal access, software setup, document collection. Cleanup work (if needed) happens here.

- Step 04 -

The Monthly Rhythm

You start getting real numbers, every month. P&L, Balance Sheet, written summary, secure communication. Your business becomes visible in a way it probably hasn't been before.

- ADD-ONS -

For when standard isn't enough.

Real businesses don't fit neatly into tier boxes. These add-ons handle the specific situations that come up — cleanup, sales tax, statements for lenders, transitions between software.

- WHEN YOU'RE READY -

Bookkeeping is the start. The full picture is bigger.

Bookkeeping clients often realize they want more — credit work, tax planning, business filings, all integrated. That's what Tier iii: Full Financial Organization is for. Bookkeeping bundled with credit work, quarterly tax planning, and business filings — one integrated team across your entire financial life.

- COMMON QUESTIONS -

What people ask first.

What if my books are years behind?

Most clients come to us behind. That's normal, and we have a path for it. The Bookkeeping Audit identifies how far behind you are and what cleanup costs. We can catch you up, then start the monthly rhythm. The path forward is always clear — even when the starting point feels chaotic.

Do I need to use QuickBooks already?

No. If you have it, we'll likely use it. If you don't, we'll set it up as part of onboarding (or use an alternative that fits your business better). The audit determines which software makes sense for your specific situation.

Do you handle payroll?

Not directly, not right now. We do coordinate with your existing payroll provider (Gusto, ADP, QuickBooks Payroll, etc.) for an add-on fee. Our focus on single-member operations means we serve businesses where payroll isn't yet a factor — though full payroll services are on our roadmap.

How is pricing determined?

Five factors: transactions per month, number of accounts, how current your books are, any specialty needs (multi-property, job costing, inventory), and your current software situation. These map to a tier during the audit. The tier shown on this page is your starting price — final pricing is confirmed in writing after the audit.

Can I do bookkeeping without using HB for tax prep?

Yes. While clients who do both with us get tighter integration, bookkeeping is fully a standalone service. If you have an existing tax preparer you trust, we deliver clean books to them every January. They love it.

What's the commitment?

Monthly engagement, no long-term contract. Bookkeeping is most valuable when consistent — but you can pause or end the engagement with 30 days written notice. Most clients stay for years because the value compounds over time.

Will I see my own numbers, or just the reports?

You have access to everything. The portal shows your books, your reports, your transactions, your historical data. The monthly summary is for clarity, not gatekeeping — your business is always your business.

- READY TO BEGIN -

Let's start with a real look at where your books are.

The Bookkeeping Audit is the entry point. 60 minutes, $150 (credited toward your first month if you engage), and a written assessment of where your books actually are and what it would take to get them where they should be.

A premium support ecosystem for individuals, entrepreneurs, and tax professionals serious about leveling up.
